The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some owners may comment of a rattle/clunk type noise from the left front when driving over rough roads at lower speeds. This concern will normally occur when driving over repetitive bumps like a washboard or stone type road. When using chassis ears the noise will be most noticeable coming from the rack-n-pinon.
Recommendation/Instructions:
If the rack-n-pinon was replaced for this concern already and GM Part number 19152330 was used, replace the rack-n-pinon again using the AC Delco equivalent, part number 88991058.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
