Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .

  2. Object Number: 258045  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the evaporator tube from the evaporator.
  4. Remove the O-ring seal.
  5. Disconnect the evaporator tube from the condenser.
  6. Remove the O-ring seal.
  7. Disconnect the evaporator tube from the auxiliary evaporator hose.
  8. Remove the O-ring seal.
  9. Remove the evaporator tube.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 258045  Size: SH
  1. Install the evaporator tube.
  2. Coat the new O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
  3. Install the new O-ring seal.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Connect the evaporator tube to the auxiliary evaporator hose.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the evaporator tube to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  7. Coat the new O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
  8. Install the new O-ring seal.
  9. Connect the evaporator tube to the condenser.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the evaporator tube to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  11. Coat the new O-ring seal with 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
  12. Install the new O-ring seal.
  13. Connect the evaporator tube to the evaporator.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the evaporator tube to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  15. Charge the system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  16. Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Leak Testing .
