Removal Procedure
Remove the mirror mounting button from the mirror bracket.
Mark the outside of the windshield with crayon in order to identify the old location of the rear view mirror button.
Scrape the inside windshield glass thoroughly with a safety razor or utility knife in order to remove all old adhesive.
Scrape the mirror button thoroughly with a safety razor or utility knife in order to remove all old adhesive.
Wipe the area clean with a clean cloth saturated with alcohol.
Installation Procedure
Apply a generous amount of activator to the mounting surface of the mirror button.
Apply a generous amount of activator to the windshield where the button is to be put.
Allow the activator to dry for five minutes.
Important:
Do not touch the mounting surface of the button or the glass.
Using the inside mirror adhesive kit GM P/N 1052369 or the equivalent, apply one drop of the adhesive to the center of the button.
Immediately apply the button to the windshield, ensuring that the button is correctly aligned.
Hold the button firmly for a minute.
Allow the adhesive to set for 15 minutes.
Connect the mirror to the mirror mount button.
