A crankshaft torsional dampening pulley is now being used on the 6.2L diesel engine. The use of this dampened pulley will significantly increase belt life.
This dampened pulley was used in 1985 production beginning with the following VINs.

The service procedure for removal and replacement of the crankshaft dampener pulley is in Section 6A7 of the 1985 Light Duty Service Manual.
One of the following dampeners is required in making the installation:

All dampener installations require four bolts, P/N 11508141. The torque for these bolts is 3545 N.m (26-33 ft. lbs.).
