CONSOLE GARAGE DOOR OPENER (OWNERS MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS)

SUBJECT: ROOF CONSOLE GARAGE DOOR OPENER FEATURE (OWNER'S MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 C/K TRUCK WITH ROOF CONSOLE (RPO DK6)

1992 C/K vehicles equipped with a centre roof console (RPO DK6) have a built in compartment for storing a garage door opener.

Instructions for installing the garage door opener were inadvertently left out of early 1992 C/K owner's manuals. A copy of those instructions are duplicated here for your reference.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

1. Open the storage compartment door by pressing the latch forward Refer to Figure 1.

2. Peel the protective backing from the hook and loop patch. Press it firmly to the back of the garage door opener, as close to the centre of the opener as possible Refer to Figure 2.

3. Center the garage door opener activation button over the console door button and press the opener firmly into place, as shown in Figures 3 and 4.

4. Use the pegs inside the compartment door to make sure the button on the compartment door will contact the control button on the garage door opener. Add one peg at a time until the garage door opener operates with the compartment door closed Refer to Figure 4, 5 and 6).
