INFORMATION ON NEW SOLENOID ASSY. (IMPROVED DURABILITY)

TRANSMISSION APPLICATIONS: SUBJECT:

1991 AND 1992 HYDRA-MATIC NEW SOLENOID ASSEMBLIES 4L80-E/4L80-EHD (TO IMPROVE DURABILITY)

TRANSMISSION MODELS: VEHICLE APPLICATIONS:

ALL MODELS 1991-92 C, K, R, V, P TRUCKS/G VANS

All HYDRA-MATIC 4L80-E/4L80-EHD solenoids have been changed to incorporate reversible diaphragms, increased coil wire size and inlet filter screens within the Solenoids.

Solenoid "A" was Blue and is now Gray. Solenoid "B" was Red and is now Green. This improves the durability and manufacturing process.

PRODUCTION DATE: - Refer to Figure 1 ------------------------------------ Starting February 13, 1992 (Julian Date 048) all HYDRA-MATIC 4L80-E/4L80-EHD transmissions were built with the new solenoid assemblies.

SERVICE PROCEDURE:

The new solenoids are serviced for all 1991 and 1992 4L80-E/4L80-EHD applications.
