Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 18302  Size: SH
  1. Remove the throttle body from the upper intake manifold. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement

  2. Object Number: 10935  Size: SH
  3. Remove the mounting bolts from the TP sensor.

  4. Object Number: 10936  Size: SH

    Notice: The TP sensor is an electrical component. Do not soak the TP sensor in any liquid cleaner or solvent as damage may result.

  5. Remove the TP sensor and gasket from the throttle body assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 10936  Size: SH

    Important: Ensure that the TP sensor throttle valve is closed.

  1. Align the TP flange holes with their corresponding holes in the throttle body assembly.
  2. Install the TP sensor by placing the TP sensor over the gasket onto the throttle shaft.

  3. Object Number: 10935  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the TP sensor mounting bolts.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2.0 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the throttle body to the upper intake manifold. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement
