Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Replacement Pick-up

Fuel Vapor Pressure Sensor Removal

  1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Lower the fuel tank.
  3. Drain the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining .
  4. Remove the fuel tank.
  5. Refer to the following procedures:

    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Suburban).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Extended Cab - Side Tank).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Pick-up - Side Tank).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab and Chassis - Side Tank).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab and Chassis - Rear Tank).
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  7. Object Number: 64998  Size: SH
  8. Remove the Fuel Pressure sensor (1) from the fuel sender assembly (2)

Fuel Pressure Sensor Installation


    Object Number: 64998  Size: SH
  1. Install the Fuel Pressure Sensor (1) on the fuel sender assembly (2).
  2. Reconnect the electrical connector
  3. Install the fuel tank.
  4. Refer to the following procedures:

    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Suburban).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Tahoe/Yukon).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Extended Cab - Side Tank).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Pick-up - Side Tank).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab and Chassis - Side Tank).
    • Fuel Tank Replacement (Cab and Chassis - Rear Tank).

Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Removal

  1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Lower the fuel tank.
  3. Drain the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining .
  4. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor electrical connector.

  6. Object Number: 373051  Size: SH
  7. Remove the Fuel Tank Pressure sensor from the fuel tank housing.

Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Installation


    Object Number: 373051  Size: SH
  1. Install the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor on the fuel tank.
  2. Reconnect the Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor electrical connector.
  3. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
