For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Test for leak points if water has leaked into the interior.
  2. Mark the location of any leaks.
  3. If a leak has not been found, perform the following steps:
  4. • Close all the windows and the vents.
    • Cover the air lever in position in order to use the outside air.
    • Place the air lever in position in order to use the outside air.
    • Turn the fan lever to the HI position.
    • Close the doors.
    • Run a small stream of water over the area suspected of leaking.
    • Inspect for pressure bubbles which indicate that air is escaping from the interior.
  5. Use an air drying body sealing compound if the leak is between the body panels.
  6. Inspect the door alignment if the leak is near the door. In order to perform the door alignment, refer to Door Adjustment in Doors.
  7. Make sure the weatherstrip is not damaged.
  8. Ensure that the weatherstrip is properly seated on the opening flange.

  9. Replace the weatherstrip if needed.
