General Motors of Canada has determined that certain 1990 RV 30943 Crew Cab Pickup Model Trucks produced at the Flint Truck Assembly Plant were shipped to Canadian dealers without complete vehicle certification labels. The trucks were assembled correctly. Besides a statement, required by the Canadian Safety Act, that the vehicle complies with all applicable safety standards, the certification label also contains the tire and rim information required by CMVSS 120, "Tire Selection and Rims For Vehicles Other Than Passenger Cars."
To correct this condition, a new certification label is to be affixed to each affected vehicle.
Since a new certification label can be easily installed and to reduce owner inconvenience, new certification labels will be sent directly to owners of record. Owners may install the new label or ask a dealer to do the service. Dealer service is to be done at no charge to owners.
Involved are certain 1990 RV 30943 Crew Cab Pickup Model Trucks built at Flint Truck Assembly Plant within the following VIN breakpoints:

All owners of record at the time of campaign release are shown on the attached computer listing and have been notified by first class mail from General Motors. The listings provided are for campaign activity only and should not be used for any other purpose.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
