VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987-88 S/T TRUCK, 1987-88 F ---------------- AND P CAR W/2.8L ENGINE

Some 1987-88 Camaros, Firebirds, Fieros and/or light duty S/T trucks equipped with a 2.8L engine (VIN Codes S, 9 or R) may exhibit a coolant leak from the water pump assembly.

If customer comments relative to coolant leaks are received and the water pump is diagnosed as the problem, then install a new design water pump assembly. Reference the chart below for the correct Part Number.
