THIS BULLETIN IS BEING ISSUED TO REVISE THE DTC P1520 PARK NEUTRAL POSITION (PNP) SWITCH CIRCUIT TABLE IN THE FOLLOWING SERVICE MANUALS:
* 1996 GMP/96-L-2 * 1996 GMP/96-A-2 * 1996 GMT/96-ST-2 * 1997 GMT/97-ST-2
A REVISED COPY OF THE DIAGNOSTIC TABLE IS ATTACHED. ALSO ADD THE FOLLOWING DIAGNOSTIC:
DTC P1520 DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
* AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM MAY BE CAUSED BY A POOR CONNECTION, RUBBED THROUGH WIRE INSULATION, OR A WIRE THAT IS BROKEN INSIDE THE INSULATION.
* ANY CIRCUITRY THAT IS SUSPECTED AS CAUSING THE INTERMITTENT CONCERN SHOULD BE THOROUGHLY CHECKED FOR THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
- BACKED OUT TERMINALS - IMPROPER MATING - BROKEN LOCKS - IMPROPERLY FORMED OR DAMAGED TERMINALS - POOR TERMINAL TO WIRING CONNECTIONS - PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO THE WIRING HARNESS
PLEASE MARK UP YOUR SERVICE MANUAL WITH THIS REVISION.
