The 2000 series radios feature an electronically tuned receiver (ETR), a vacuum fluorescent display for radio frequency and digital clock display, and seek and scan tuning. The UM6, 2000 series radio features a cassette tape deck with automatic reverse.

The U1C model communication data module (CDM) is an integral AM/FM receiver and compact disc player. The module contains an electronically tuned receiver and vacuum fluorescent display for radio frequency, digital clock, and compact disc (CD) play information. The radio has seek and scan tuning and the CD player has a random play mode. The CD player will accept and play the 120 mm (4.75 in) compact disc with an approved adapter.

    • UM7-ETR with AM/FM stereo, seek/scan, and clock
    • UM6-ETR with AM/FM stereo, seek/scan, Dolby, auto-reverse cassette, and clock
    • UX1-ETR with AM/FM stereo, seek/scan, auto-reverse cassette, music search, clock, and graphic equalizer
    • U1C-ETR with AM/FM stereo, seek/scan, clock, and compact disc
    • UN0-ETR with AM/FM stereo, seek/scan, clock, and compact disc with automatic tone control
    • UL0-ETR with AM/FM stereo, seek/scan, Dolby, auto-reverse cassette, and clock
    • UP0-ETR with AM/FM stereo, seek/scan, Dolby, base/treble controls, 15 station preset, recall, clock, dual playback compact disc and cassette, power loading cassette/compact disc, compression control, random play, and scan
