DEFINITION: This test assumes that the park, tail and sidemarker lamps work normaly with the headlamp switch and do not work with the auto lamp feature.

Did you perform the Exterior Lights System Check?

  1. Remove the PARK LP fuse.
  2. Disconnect the body control module connector C2.
  3. Install PARK LP fuse.
  4. Connect a J 39200 DMM between body control module connector C2 terminal A5 and ground.

Is the specified voltage present?

Battery Voltage

Go to Step 8

  1. Disconnect the park lamp relay.
  2. Connect a J 39200 DMM between park lamp relay terminals 1 to ground and 3 to ground

Is the specified voltage present?

Battery Voltage

Go to Step 5

Repair poor connection in terminal F7 of the body relay block.

Is the repir complete?

Inspect CKT 1080 for high resistance or an open circuit.

Is CKT 1080 OK?

Replace park lamp relay.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair cause of high resistance in CKT 1080.

Connect a fused jumper wire between body control module connector C2 terminal A5 and Ground
