Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 429912  Size: SH
  1. Remove the wiper arm from the shaft. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
  2. Remove the nut and the spacer from the shaft.

  3. Object Number: 429914  Size: SH
  4. Remove the interior panel from the vehicle endgate. Refer to Endgate Trim Panel Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the controller.
  6. Remove two screws and the wiper motor from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the wiper motor onto the vehicle with two screws while keeping the shaft centered in the tailgate hole.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten two screws to 6.5 N·m (57 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the controller.
  4. Install the interior panel to the vehicle endgate. Refer to the Endgate Trim Panel Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 429912  Size: SH
  6. Install the spacer and the nut onto the vehicle.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 8 N·m (70 lb in).

  8. Install the wiper arm to the vehicle. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement .
