Important: The audio signal can be identified as a fluctuating AC voltage. Measure from the channel input cavity to the channel common ground cavity.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.
  2. Play a known good medium.
  3. Test for the audio signal input to the radio.

Is the audio signal present at both inputs?

0-400 mV AC

Go to Step 13

Test CKT 372 (BLK/WHT) for an open.

Is an open present in CKT 372 (BLK/WHT)?

Repair the open in CKT 372 (BLK/WHT).

Is the repair complete?

Is the right audio channel inoperative?
