Did you perform the Outside Mirrors System Check?

  1. Disconnect the inoperative power outside mirror connector.
  2. Position the selector switch to the inoperative power mirror.
  3. Connect a test lamp between CKT 1496 (YEL) cavity C and ground.
  4. Move the switch to the UP and LEFT positions.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. For the LH outside rear view mirror, connect a test lamp between CKT 89 (LT GRN) cavity D and ground.
  2. For the RH outside rear view mirror, connect a test lamp between CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) cavity D and ground.
  3. Move the switch to the DOWN position.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. For the LH outside rear view mirror, connect a test lamp between CKT 81 (WHT) cavity E and ground.
  2. For the RH outside rear view mirror, connect a test lamp between CKT 881 (RED/WHT) cavity E and ground.
  3. Move the switch to the RIGHT position.

Does the test lamp light?

Replace the appropriate outside rear view mirror.

Inspect for an open in CKT 1496 (YEL) between the inoperative power outside mirror and the power mirror switch.

Is an open present?

Inspect for an open in CKT 89 (LT GRN) or CKT 889 (PPL/WHT) between the inoperative power outside mirror and the power mirror switch.

Is an open present?

--

Go to Step 10

Inspect for an open in CKT 81 (WHT) or CKT 881 (RED/WHT) between the inoperative power outside mirror and the power mirror switch.

Is an open present?

--

Go to Step 11

Repair the open in CKT 1496 (YEL) between the inoperative power outside mirror and the power mirror switch.
