1. Disconnect the outside rear view folding mirror switch.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Connect a test lamp from CKT 1301 (DK GRN) cavity A at the outside rear view folding mirror switch connector to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 8

Connect a test lamp from CKT 1301 (DK GRN) cavity A to CKT 1850 (BLK) at the outside rear view folding mirror switch connector to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 9

1. Reconnect the outside rear view folding mirror switch.
2. Disconnect Connector C501.
3. Place the outside rear view folding mirror switch to the EXTEND position.
4. Connect a test lamp from connector C501 terminal H, CKT 190 (YEL) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

1. Place the outside rear view folding mirror switch to the RETRACT position.
2. Connect a test lamp from connector C501 terminal K, CKT 191 (LT BLU) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1301 (DK GRN) between the outside rear view folding mirror switch and the IP fuse block.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

Locate and repair the open in CKT 1850 (BLK) between the outside rear view folding mirror switch and G202.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

--

Locate and repair the open in CKT 190 (YEL) between the outside rear view folding mirror switch and connector C501 terminal H.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

--

Locate and repair the open in CKT 191 (LT BLU) between the outside rear view folding mirror switch and connector C501 terminal K.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

--

Replace the outside rear view switch.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

--

1. Disconnect the appropriate outside rear view mirror.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
3. Place the outside rear view folding mirror switch to the EXTEND position.
4. Connect a test lamp from CKT 190 (YEL) cavity J at the outside rear view mirror connector to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 14

1. Place the outside rear view folding mirror switch to the RETRACT position.
2. Connect a test lamp from CKT 191 (LT BLU) cavity K at the outside rear view mirror connector to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Locate and repair the open in CKT 190 (YEL) between the outside rear view mirror and connector C501 terminal H.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

Locate and repair the open in CKT 191 (LT BLU) between the outside rear view mirror and connector C501 terminal K.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Outside Mirrors System Check

--

Replace the appropriate rear view mirror.

Is the repair complete?

Locate and repair the short to ground in the following circuits:
