Using a J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM), check for voltage at the memory seat module connector C3 terminal B for CKT 1440 (ORN).

Does the DMM read the specified value?

Battery Voltage

Go to Step 4

  1. Locate and repair the open or short to ground in CKT 1440 (ORN) between the memory seat module and the PWR SEATS circuit breaker located in the body relay block.
  2. If no open is found, check the circuit breaker for proper operation.

Is the repair complete?

Using a DMM, measure the continuity to ground of CKT 1350 (BLK) at the memory seat module and the power seat adjuster switch.

Is continuity present on CKT 1350?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Locate and repair open in CKT 1350 (BLK) between the memory seat module and/or the power seat adjuster switch and ground G450.

Is the repair complete?

--

Using a J 39200 DMM, check for continuity from CKT 1350 (BLK) at the power seat adjuster switch to each of the following wires at the terminal of the power seat adjuster switch as related to the corresponding switch activation.

    • BRN - MEMORY SET
    • YEL - MEMORY POSITION 2
    • LT BLU- MEMORY POSITION 1
    • DK BLU- RECLINER BACK
    • DK GRN - RECLINER FORWARD
    • PPL - REAR DOWN
    • PNK - REAR UP
    • WHT - FRONT DOWN
    • GRY - FRONT UP
    • LT GRN - LATERAL BACK
    • TAN - LATERAL FORWARD

Is there continuity during each switch activation?

Replace the power seat adjuster switch.

Is the repair complete?
