The subject procedure called out in Section 8B, Page 8B-16 of the 1984 'S/T' Series Service Manual is revised as shown below.
Please make note of this change in your copy of the Shop Manual.
Replacement (Refer to Fig. 8B-16)
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove hush panel (over fuse block).
3. Remove hood release handle to I.P. screws.
4. Remove lower steering column trim cover.
5. Remove cruise control module (behind I.P.)
6. Remove wiper delay switch knob and lock nut.
7. Remove headlamp switch knob and shaft.
8. Depress tabs and remove parking brake release handle. Disconnect parking brake cable.
9. Remove headlamp switch bezel.
10. Remove headlamp switch and disconnect electrical connector from switch.
11. Reverse the steps above to install.
