AS ANNOUNCED BY A GMC TRUCK MESSAGE DATED DECEMBER 23, 1993, MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC OIL IS TO BE USED FOR THE 3,000 MILE COMMITMENT PLUS SERVICE FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES.
GASOLINE POWERED LIGHT DUTY TRUCKS ELIGIBLE FOR THE 3,000 MILE COMMITMENT PLUS SERVICE.
EFFECTIVE DATE: NOW EXTENDED TO JUNE 30, 1994.
MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC OIL PROCUREMENT:
GMSPO HAS RELEASED MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC OIL; IT IS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE LDP (LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR PROGRAM). CONTACT YOUR LOCAL DISTRIBUTOR FOR THIS PRODUCT JUST AS YOU DO FOR YOUR OTHER OIL PRODUCTS. CALL 800-532-1881 FOR THE DISTRIBUTOR SERVING YOUR DEALERSHIP. IT IS $3.63 PER QUART UNDER A UNIQUE CONTRACT BETWEEN GMSPO AND MOBIL OIL COMPANY.
MOBIL 1 IS THE ONLY SYNTHETIC OIL TO BE USED FOR THIS PILOT PROGRAM.
CLAIMS SUBMISSION - DEALER HANDLING ALLOWANCE:
1993 AND PRIOR MODEL YEAR ELIGIBLE VEHICLES ARE TO USE A 30% WARRANTY HANDLING ALLOWANCE. ELIGIBLE 1994 MODEL YEAR VEHICLES ARE TO USE A 40% WARRANTY HANDLING ALLOWANCE. THE DEALER NET PRICE AND THE WARRANTY HANDLING ALLOWANCE ARE TO BE SUBMITTED AS A NET ITEM ON THE CLAIM.
OIL FILTERS AC PF 1218 (25013977) OR AC PF 52 (25012760) ARE TO BE USED. OIL FILTERS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED UNDER THE PROPER GM PART NUMBER WITH THE APPROPRIATE MODEL YEAR HANDLING ALLOWANCE APPLIED TO THE DEALER NET PRICE.
