Was the Wiper/Washer System Check performed?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Turn the wiper switch to the OFF position.
  3. Disconnect the wiper/washer switch connector.

Do the wipers park properly?

--

Go to Step 3

Replace the wiper switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column.

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

Measure the voltage between wiper/washer switch connector C211 (vehicle side), terminal E8, and ground.

Is the voltage greater than the specified value?

1 volt

Go to Step 5

  1. Reconnect the wiper/washer switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  3. Measure the voltage between wiper motor connector, terminal A, and ground.

Is the voltage greater than the specified value?

1 volt

Go to Step 6

Repair the short to B+ in CKT 113. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the wiper motor cover assembly. Refer to Windshield Wiper System Module Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check

Measure the voltage between wiper/washer switch connector C211 (vehicle side), terminal E5, and ground.

Is the voltage greater than the specified value?

1 volt

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 7

  1. Reconnect the wiper/washer switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the wiper motor connector.
  3. Measure the voltage between wiper motor connector, terminal E, and ground.

Is the voltage greater than the specified value?

1 volt

Go to Step 10

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to B+ in CKT 112. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?
