Does the rear window wiper operate when you press the WASH button?

  1. Disconnect the harness connector from the rear window washer pump.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. While holding the WASH switch in the ON position, measure the voltage between the harness connector, terminal A, and ground.

Is battery voltage present?

Repair the open in CKT 392. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Wiper/Washer Rear System Check

  1. Connect a test lamp from harness connector terminal A to terminal B.
  2. Hold the WASH switch in the ON position.

Is the test lamp lit while the WASH switch is in the ON position?

 

Go to Step 7

Repair the open in CKT 350. Refer to Wiring Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Replace the rear washer pump. Refer to Rear Window Washer Pump Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Inspect the following components for a poor connection:

    • The rear wiper switch
    • Connector C203

Did you find a poor connection?

Go to Step 9

Repair the poor connection. Refer to Connector Repairs .

Is the repair complete?

Inspect CKT 392 for an open between the rear wiper switch and connector C203.

Did you find an open?

Repair the open in CKT 392. Refer to Wiring Repairs .
