If the wiper switch is in the DELAY (pulse) position, battery voltage is applied to the wiper motor connector at the following positions:
• | Terminal C through CKT 143. |
• | Terminal A through CKT 113. |
• | Terminal E through CKT 112. |
The variable-pulse delay resistor controls the length of the delay between sweeps. The delay is adjustable from 1-22 seconds.
If the wiper switch is in the LO position, battery voltage is applied to the wiper motor connector at the following positions:
• | Terminal C through CKT 143. |
• | Terminal A through CKT 113. |
• | Terminal E through CKT 112. |
The circuit board supplies power to the wiper motor through the low-speed relay. The wiper motor runs continuously.
If the wiper switch is in the HI position, battery voltage is applied to the wiper motor connector at the following positions:
• | Terminal C through CKT 143. |
• | Terminal D through CKT 92. |
• | Terminal E through CKT 112. |
• | Terminal A through CKT 113. |
If you turn OFF the wiper switch from any position, the wipers complete the last sweep, then the wipers park. If the wiper switch is in the OFF position, battery voltage is applied only to wiper motor connector terminal C, through CKT 143. The wiper motor continues to run, until the park switch opens.
If you turn ON the washer switch, battery voltage is applied to the wiper motor connector at terminal A through CKT 113. The voltage applies through the low-speed relay. The wiper motor runs at low speed for 2-4 sweeps.
The washer control switch applies voltage to the washer pump through CKT 228. The control switch applies voltage only as long as you hold the washer switch ON.
The wiper/washer system returns to the mode that the system was in before the wash cycle.
If you move the wiper switch to MIST and release the switch, the wipers make 1 sweep at low speed, then return to the park position. If you hold the wiper switch in the MIST position, the wipers continue to operate until you release the switch. In this case, the circuit operation is identical to low speed operation.
