Front Fog Lamp Replacement All Except Bravada, Envoy
Removal Procedure
The fog lamp assembly consists of the following
components:
If the lens is broken, the assembly must be replaced. If the bulb is
burned out, the bulb may be replaced separately.
- Ensure that the fog lamp switch is in the OFF position.
- Remove the bumper. Refer to
Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement
in Bumpers.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors as necessary.
- Remove the screws that
secure the fog lamp assembly to the bumper.
- Remove the fog lamp assembly from the bumper.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fog lamp assembly
to the bumper.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws
that secure the fog lamp assembly to the bumper.
Tighten
Tighten the fog lamp assembly screws to 10 N·m (88 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connectors as necessary.
- Install the bumper. Refer to
Front Bumper Impact Bar Replacement
in Bumpers.
Front Fog Lamp Replacement Bravada
Removal Procedure
- Ensure that the fog lamp
switch is in the OFF position.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove the screws that retain the fog lamp assembly to the bumper.
- Remove the fog lamp assembly from the bumper.
Installation Procedure
- Install the fog lamp assembly
to the bumper.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant

Front Fog Lamp Replacement Envoy
Removal Procedure
- Ensure that the foglamp switch is OFF.
- Ensure that the ignition switch is in the LOCK position.
- Rotate the bulb socket
1/4 turn counter-clockwise in order to remove the socket from the
foglamp assembly.
- Remove the bulb from the socket.
- Remove the push-pin style retainers that retain the foglamp to
the front fascia.
- Remove the adjustment thumbwheel from the foglamp.
- From the front of the vehicle, remove the foglamp from the fascia.
Installation Procedure
- From the front of the
vehicle, install the foglamp to the fascia.
- Install the adjustment thumbwheel to the foglamp.
- Install the push-pin style retainers that retain the foglamp to
the front fascia.
- Install the foglamp bulb to the socket.
- Rotate the bulb socket 1/4 turn clockwise in order to install
the socket to the license plate lamp assembly.
- Re-aim the fog lights. Refer to
Fog Lamp Aiming
