If the vehicle loses battery power, or if the endgate window power release electrical circuit is interrupted, you may open the endgate window manually from inside the vehicle.

Use the following procedure:

1. Release the endgate window before opening the window.



2. Peel back the edge of the carpet slightly in order to expose the access hole in the trim panel.
3. Begin peeling at the upper center of the carpet on the endgate trim panel.
4. Reach through the access hole with a screwdriver in order to move the release lever toward the passenger side of the vehicle.
5. Open the endgate using the endgate handle.
6. Secure the loosened carpet to the endgate trim panel.
