Condition
Some owners may comment that the driver/passenger seat adjuster switch bezel will not stay snapped in place.
Correction
A new seat adjuster switch bezel has been developed to correct this condition. This new bezel has added screw attachments that should improve retention. Replace the seat adjuster switch bezel on affected vehicles. Use the following service procedure and the appropriate part number listed below. Also replace the seat adjuster switch bezel on the opposite seat.
Important: The new bezel will fit on the seat using both the fasteners and the screws around the heat/lumbar switch. The hole located at the recliner area of the bezel will remain empty. Do not attempt to install a screw at that location.
- Remove the old bezel from the seat.
- Remove the power seat/memory switch from the old bezel.
- Remove the screws attaching the heat/lumbar switch to the seat and discard the screws.
- Install the power seat/memory switch to the new bezel.
- Install the heat/lumbar switch to the new bezel.
- Install the new bezel to the seat.
- Install the new screws, P/N 12532233, that attach the new bezel to the seat.
- Repeat the procedure on the opposite seat.
