The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) commands the ABS Indicator on at bulb check until the IPC receives a class 2 serial data message from the EBCM commanding the ABS indicator off. If the EBCM sets a DTC(s), the EBCM may send a class 2 serial data message to the IPC commanding the ABS indicator on.
Replace the Instrument Panel Cluster if it is verified that the ABS indicator intermittently fails to operate during the IPC bulb check.
