Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 619998 Size: SH
  1. Open the universal transmitter compartment door.

    2. Use a flat-bladed tool at the rear of the door in order to carefully pry the door open.

  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the module.
  3. Remove the harness from the plastic clip on the module.
  4. Remove the screws that retain the universal transmitter module to the door.
  5. Remove the universal transmitter module from the door.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the universal transmitter module to the door.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the universal transmitter module mounting screws.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the universal transmitter module screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  3. Install the harness in the plastic clip on the module.
  4. Connect the electrical connector to the module.
  5. Close the universal transmitter compartment door.
