      • Correct insertion
      • Scratches
      • Dirt
      • Fingerprints
    • Determine if the usual vehicle route is over a rough or dirt road.

Observe the operation of the CD player.

Is the CD player displaying ERR or disc ejected?

Attempt to duplicate the condition on a good surface.

Service the radio/remote audio player. Refer to Radio Replacement or Remote CD Changer Replacement .

  1. Inspect for the following conditions.
  2. • The disc is inserted upside down.
    • The disc is badly scratched or wet.
    • Moisture has condensed on the disc.
  3. Correct the conditions as necessary. Allow up to an hour in order to evaporate any condensation.
