Verify that the LR power window is inoperative from the LR side window switch.

Do the power windows operate normally?

  1. Access the side window lockout switch connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Connect a digital multimeter (DMM) to CKT 1001 (DK GRN), terminal D at the side window lockout switch connector and ground.
  4. Test for voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in wiring systems.

Is ignition voltage present?

B+

Go to Step 4

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the side window lockout switch in the NORMAL (UNLOCKED) position.
  3. Connect a DMM to CKT 1307 (DK BLU), terminal B at the side window lockout switch connector and ground.
  4. Test for voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in wiring systems.

Is ignition voltage present?

B+

Go to Step 5

  1. Access the LR side window switch.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  3. Place the side window lockout switch in the NORMAL (UNLOCKED) position.
  4. Connect a DMM to CKT 1307 (DK BLU), terminal B at the LR side window switch connector and ground.
  5. Ensure that the connector remains connected.
  6. Test for voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing in wiring systems.

Is ignition voltage present?

B+

Go to Step 9

Locate and repair the open or the high resistance in CKT 1001 (DK GRN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Locate and repair the open or high resistance in CKT 1307 (DK BLU). Refer to Wiring Repairs in wiring systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Replace the side window lockout switch.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Replace the LR side window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 10

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
