  1. Turn the ignition to RUN or ACC, with the engine OFF.
  2. Disconnect sunroof module connector C1.
  3. Using a J 39200 digital multimeter (DMM), measure the voltage at CKT 1001(YEL) or 1001 (DK GRN) to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

B+

Go to Step 4

Using a J 39200 DMM measure the voltage between CKT 1001 (YEL) or 1001 (DK GRN) and CKT 1850 (BLK). Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

Repair the open, high resistance or short to ground in CKT 1001 (YEL) or 1001 (DK GRN). Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Reconnect connector C1.
  2. Disconnect connector C2 at the sunroof module.
  3. Using a J 39200 DMM, measure the continuity from cavity 2 (BRN) and cavity 3 (DK BLU) while depressing the switch in the OPEN position. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

Using a J 39200 DMM, measure the continuity from cavity 3 (DK BLU) and cavity 5 (ORN) while depressing the switch in the CLOSE position. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for an open, high resistance or short to ground in the BRN and DK BLU wires from the sunroof control switch to the sunroof module connector C2. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for an open, high resistance or short to ground in the DK/BLU and ORN wires from the sunroof control switch to sunroof module connector C2 . Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems

Replace the sunroof control switch. Refer to Driver Information Center Module Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.

Inspect BLK/WHT, WHT, RED and BLK for an open, high resistance or short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open, high resistance or short to ground in BLK/WHT, WHT, RED and BLK. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect connector C2 of the sunroof module.
  2. Using a J 39200 DMM, measure the continuity from cavity 1(BLK/WHT), cavity 8 (WHT) and cavity 6 (BLK). Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems.

  1. Reconnect connector C2.
  2. Connect a test lamp between connector C1 at cavity C and A. Refer to Circuit Testing in Wiring Systems. Operate the switch in both directions
