Body Mount Replacement Regular Cab

Removal Procedure

Properly support the frame when you change the body mounts. If only one mount is changed, lower the entire side on which the mount in placed in order to provide clearance for the mount.

  1. Raise the vehicle slightly on a hoist. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 303152  Size: SH
  3. Place jack stands under the body on the side of the vehicle that the mounts will be placed.

  4. Object Number: 303143  Size: SH
  5. Remove the body mount bolts.
  6. Remove the retainer.
  7. Remove the lower cushion.
  8. Lower the hoist enough in order to leave the body supported by the jack stands.
  9. Remove the upper cushion.
  10. Remove the shims, if equipped.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 303143  Size: SH
  1. Install the shims, if equipped.
  2. Install the upper cushion.
  3. Raise the frame slightly on the hoist.
  4. Install the lower cushion.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the body mount bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  8. Lower the hoist.

Removal Procedure
