Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Canister/Fuel Tank 2-Door Utility and Pickup
Removal Procedure
- Remove the fuel tank. Refer to
Fuel Tank Replacement
.
- Disconnect the evaporative
emission (EVAP) vapor pipe from the fuel sender assembly.
- Cap the fuel sender and EVAP vapor pipe in order to prevent contamination.
Installation Procedure
- Remove the caps from the fuel sender assembly and EVAP vapor pipe.
- Connect the EVAP vapor
pipe to the fuel sender assembly.
- Install the fuel tank. Refer to
Fuel Tank Replacement
.
Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Canister/Fuel Tank 4-Door Utility Upper
Removal Procedure
- Remove the fuel tank. Refer to
Fuel Tank Replacement
.
- Disconnect the rear EVAP
pipe from the chassis EVAP pipe (1).
- Disconnect the rear EVAP
pipe (2) from the EVAP canister (4).
- Remove the EVAP vent and vapor pipes retaining strap at the chassis,
noting the position for installation.
- Remove the rear EVAP pipe
from the chassis clips (1).
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear EVAP
pipe to the chassis clips (1).
- Install a new EVAP vent
and vapor pipes retaining strap at the chassis, as noted during removal.
- Connect the rear EVAP pipe (2) to the EVAP canister (4).
- Connect the rear EVAP
pipe to the chassis EVAP pipe (1).
- Install the fuel tank. Refer to
Fuel Tank Replacement
