WATER PUMP/SEAL LEAKS NEW DESIGN WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

MODELS: 1987-88 S/T MODELS WITH 2.8L ENGINE (VIN CODE R)

Some 1987-88 S/T trucks equipped with a 2.8L engine (VIN Code R) may exhibit a coolant leak from the water pump weep hole while the engine is running.

If customer comments relative to coolant leaks are received and the water pump is diagnosed as the problem, then install a new water pump assembly which incorporates a new design seal. The new design pump has the same overall appearance as the old part.
