A successful launch of the 1994 GMC Sonoma pickup truck is important to all of us.
To enhance our opportunity to ensure customer satistaction, as well as monitor the quality of the new features, an early quality teedback system has been established. Toll-free telephone numbers have been installed at the Linden and Shreveport assembly plants for dealer teedback. These telephone numbers will be active from 7-12-93 thru 1-12-94. After this date, these telephone numbers will be disconnected.
Dealerships are encouraged to use the 800 number as early as your predelivery inspection to report any quality concerns observed or experienced with these vehicles. Our goal is to produce a "World Class" vehicle.
This number is intended for dealer use only and concerns should be limited exclusively to quality issues with the 1994 Sonoma.
Prior to calling, please confirm where the truck was built.
A Shreveport built truck is identified by an 8 in the eleventh position of the VIN.
A Linden built truck is identified by a K in the eleventh position of the VIN.
At the time of your call, please have a complete repair order on hand including the following information:
* Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
* Dealer Code
* Dealer Name and City
* Your Name
* Dealer Contact Person
* Dealer Phone Number
* What was the customer's specific complaint?
* The specific condition you observed
* What was done to correct the problem?
* The appropriate action you feel is needed to correct the observed condition
* Labor and Trouble Codes used
The phone will be backed up by an answering machine 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The information you provide will help us quickly identity and correct conditions which may affect our customers' satistaction.
