800 PHONE NUMBERS FOR DEALERS TO REPORT QUALITY CONCERNS

SUBJECT: 800 PHONE NUMBER FOR DEALERS TO REPORT ON ANY QUALITY CONCERNS WITH THE SYCLONE

MODELS: 1991 GMC T PICKUP (SYCLONE)

1-800-848-0400

A successful launch of the Syclone is important to all of us.

To enhance our opportunity to ensure customer satisfaction, as well as monitor the quality of the new features, an early quality feedback system has been established. A telephone line (1-800-848-0400) has been installed at the Shreveport assembly plant for dealer feedback.

Dealerships are encouraged to use the 800 number as early as your predelivery inspection to report any concern observed or experienced with this vehicle. Our goal is to uncover any quality concerns and to produce a "World Class" vehicle. This number is intended for dealer use only and concerns should be limited exclusively to issues with the Syclone.

At the time of your call, please have a complete repair order on hand including the following information:

o Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) o Dealer Code o Dealer Name and City o Your Name o Dealer Contact Person o Dealer Phone Number o What was the customer's specific complaint? o What was done to correct the problem? o Labor and Trouble Codes Used o The specific condition you observed o The appropriate action you feel is needed to correct this observed condition

The phone will be manned from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm CST, Monday through Friday. The remainder of the time, an answering machine will take the infor- mation.

The information you provide will help us quickly identify and correct conditions which may affect our customers' satisfaction.

This number is not intended to provide repair information. Problems encountered in this area should continue to be pursued through normal channels such as: Technical Assistance or your assigned dealer contact representative. Service parts on vehicle down backorders can be obtained through the Service Parts Assistance Center (SPAC) by calling: 1-800-433-6961.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
