The following represents new information for Child Restraint Tether Location for 1990-93 "M/L" Vans.
Use figure 1 to determine the location of the tether belt hole. To install the anchor plate, cut the carpet or mat and the installation so that the anchor plate sits on the floor panel sheet metal.
Drill a 10.0 mm (3/8 inch) hole in the floor pan at the proper location.
1. An M8 bolt or equivalent through the anchor plate and the floor pan.
2. A medium bodied sealer around the cleaned hole at the underside of the floor panel.
3. A 62 mm (2 7/16 inch) diameter by 3 mm (1/8 inch) flat washer.
4. Nut
Nut 27 N.m (20 lbs. ft.).
