Did you perform the Headlights System Check?

Disconnect the headlamp dimmer switch at the steering column C201 connector.

Do the low beam headlamps remain ON?

Disconnect the daytime running lamps (DRL) relay.

Do the low beam headlamps turn OFF?

Go to Step 5

  1. Reconnect the headlamp dimmer switch C201 connector.
  2. Disconnect the headlamp and panel dimmer switch.

Do the low beam headlamps turn OFF?

Go to Step 7

Inspect for a short to voltage in CKT 359 (PPL) between the headlamp dimmer switch and the DRL relay.

Did you find a short?

--

Go to Step 11

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 12 (TAN) between the DRL relay and the left side headlamp or the right side headlamp.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Headlight System Check

Replace the headlamp and panel dimmer switch Headlamp Switch Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Go to Headlight System Check

Disconnect the DRL module.

Do the low beam headlamps turn OFF?

Replace the DRL module. Refer to Daytime Running Lights (DRL) Control Module Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 10 (YEL) between the headlamp dimmer switch, the headlamp and panel dimmer switch and the DRL module.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Headlight System Check

Repair the short to voltage in CKT  359 (PPL) between the headlamp dimmer switch and the DRL relay.

If CKT 359 (PPL) is OK, replace DRL relay.

Is the repair complete?
