Go to Step 2

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

1. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver.
2. Check for improperly seated terminals and connectors.
3. Move either power door lock switch in the LOCK position.
4. Connect a fused jumper from the remote control door lock receiver CKT 694 (TAN) cavity A to ground.
5. Keep the jumper connected for the remainder of this test.

Does the left front power door lock motor lock?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 5

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Step 4

--

Reprogram the replacement remote control door lock receiver to the transmitter. Refer to Transmitter Programming .

Is the reprogramming complete?

--

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

--

1. Disconnect the left side front door lock motor connector.
2. Place either power door lock switch in the LOCK position.
3. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from CKT 295 (GRY) cavity A to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

1. Place either power door lock switch in the LOCK position.
2. Check for improperly seated terminals and connectors.
3. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 between CKT 294 (TAN) cavity B and CKT 295 (GRY) cavity A at the left side front door lock motor.

Does the test lamp light?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 9

Repair the open in CKT 295 (GRY) between the left front power door lock motor and splice S228.

Is the repair complete?

--

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

--

Replace the left front door lock motor. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .

Is the replacement complete?

--

Go to Remote Keyless Entry System Check

--

Repair the open in CKT 294 or CKT 694 (TAN) from the left front power door lock motor connector to the remote control door lock receiver.

Is the repair complete?
