A scan tool can connect to the data link connector (DLC). The connection allows the scan tool to communicate with the following components:

•	The Vehicle Control Module

•	The Passlock Module

•	The Supplemental Inflatable Restraint Sensing Diagnostic Module

•	The Electronic Brake Control Module

•	The Automatic Transfer Case Shift Control Module

•	The Compass and Temperature Display Module in the Overhead Console

You can then monitor the system operations for the diagnostic purposes.
