Tools Required

J 21426 Rear Extension Seal Installer

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the propeller shaft. Refer to Rear Propeller Shaft Replacement in Driveline/Axle.



3. Remove the rear extension oil seal.

1. Install the new seal usingJ 21426 and a soft faced mallet.
2. Install the propeller shaft.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Check the transmission fluid level.

Use Dexron® III Automatic Transmission Fluid.
