Rear Wiper/Washer System Components

The rear wiper/washer system consists of the following components:

    • Rear wiper/washer switch
    • Rear wiper motor
    • Rear wiper motor module
    • Rear washer pump
    • RR WIPER 20A fuse

Rear Wiper/Washer System Operation

The rear wiper/washer system accessory voltage supply circuit is supplied to the rear wiper/washer switch. Voltage from the rear wiper/washer switch is supplied to the rear wiper motor module and rear washer pump through the delay/on control circuit, park/delay control circuit, and the washer control circuit. The rear wiper motor is controlled by the rear wiper motor module using the control circuits and the wiper motor park switch signal circuit. The delay wiper operates at one interval speed controlled by the wiper motor module when the delay/on control circuit and the park/delay control circuit are closed to accessory voltage by the rear wiper/washer switch. When the rear wiper/washer switch is in the on position accessory voltage is supplied the rear wiper motor module through the delay/on control circuit only. When the rear wiper/washer switch is in the off position accessory voltage is supplied to the rear wiper motor module through the park/delay control circuit only, and is used to return the rear wiper motor to the park position before stopping the motor. The wiper motor park switch is supplied a reference voltage from the park/delay control circuit, and is inactive during the on operating mode. The rear wiper motor park switch is closed whenever the wiper motor is out of the park position, and 0 volts on the wiper motor park switch signal circuit indicates the wiper arm is in the park position.
