The horn system originates at the HORN fuse. The horn circuit extends from the fuse block to the horn relay, where the circuit splits into two branches. One branch goes through the relay coil to the horn switch in the steering column, and the other branch goes through the relay contacts to the horn.
When the horn switch is closed, the horn relay coil grounds. The current flows through the coil, the relay contacts close, and the horns sound.
The horn relay is located in the convenience center, under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.
