Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 350651  Size: SH
  1. Raise the vehicle to a suitable height.
  2. Remove the assist step pad nuts.
  3. Remove the assist step pad as follows:
  4. 3.1. Insert a plastic tool along the edge.
    3.2. Pull upward on the assist step pad until it is fully released from the assist step plate.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the assist step pad as follows:
  2. 1.1. Align the assist step pad to the assist step plate and press downward firmly until seated.
    1.2. The assist step pad nuts are to be hand torque.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the assist step pad nuts
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the assist step pads nuts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  5. Lower the vehicle.
