Determine which turn signal indicator is inoperative.

Is the left turn signal indicator inoperative?

Go to Step 3

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster.
  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  3. Place the turn signal switch to the side of the inoperative indicator.
  4. Use a test lamp J 35616-200 in order to probe the wire of the turn signal indicator at the instrument cluster connector CKT 14 (LT BLU) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair or replace the instrument cluster as necessary. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Cluster, Gauges and Console.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 14 (LT BLU) between the instrument cluster and splice S211.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Place the turn signal switch to the right side inoperative indicator.
  2. Use a test lamp J 35616-200 in order to probe the wire of the right turn signal indicator at the instrument cluster connector CKT 15 (DK BLU) to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 15 (DK BLU) between the instrument cluster and splice S212.
