Rear Door Replacement Cargo Doors

1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement .
2. Use a soft-faced scraper, if needed, in order to separate the deflector from the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
3. Remove the wiring harness from the license plate lamp and the power lock actuator, if equipped (right door).
4. Remove the harness and the conduit from the right door.
5. Remove the stereo speakers, if equipped.
6. Remove the check strap.



7. Drive the hinge pins (3) from the hinges (2) while an assistant holds the door in place in order to remove the hinge pins.
8. Remove the door from the vehicle.

1. Install the door to the vehicle.



2. Drive the hinge pins (3) through both halves in order to install the hinge pins.
3. Install the check strap.
4. Install the speakers, if equipped.
5. Install the harness and the conduit to the right door.
6. Install the wiring harness tot he license plate lamp and the power lock actuator, if equipped.
7. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
8. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement .

Tools Required

J 41226 Rear Cargo Door Hinge Pin Kit

1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement .
2. Remove the speakers, if equipped. Refer to Radio/Audio System Description .
3. Remove the wiring harness from the license plate lamp and the power lock actuator (right door).
4. Use a soft-faced scraper, if needed, in order to peel the water deflector away from the door. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement .
5. Remove the harness and the conduit from the door.
6. Remove the check strap. Refer to Rear Door Check Link Replacement .



7. Use the J 41226 in order to remove the hinge pins (3).
8. Remove the door from the vehicle.

1. Install the door to the vehicle.



2. Use the J 41226 in order to install the hinge pins (3).
3. Install the check strap. Refer to Rear Door Check Link Replacement .
4. Install the harness and the conduit to the door.
5. Install the wiring harness to the license plate lamp and the power lock actuator (right door).
6. Install the water deflector to the door. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement .
7. Install the speakers, if equipped. Refer to Radio/Audio System Description .
8. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement .
