- Disconnect the fuel pump and sender connector.
- Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
- Connect 1 red lead of J 33431-C
to CKT 1589 (PPL/WHT) cavity B and the other
to ground.
- Set the resistance dials to 40ohms.
- The fuel gauge should indicate E or below.
- Set the resistance dial to 250ohms.
- After a short time the fuel gauge should indicate F or
above.
Does the fuel gauge respond correctly?

- Place the ignition switch in the LOCK position.
- Disconnect the VCM BLUE C1 connector.
- Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
- Connect the J 33431-C
to CKT 30 (PPL) cavity 9 and the other to ground.
- Set the resistance dials to 0ohms.
- The fuel gauge should indicate E or below.
- Set the resistance dial to 90ohms.
- After a short time the fuel gauge should indicate F or
above.
