The blower motor delivers air to the interior of the vehicle. The blower motor speed is controlled by the blower motor switch and the blower motor resistors. Battery voltage is supplied to the blower motor switch when the ignition switch is in the RUN position.
Refer to the following table for the blower motor speeds in each switch position.
Switch Position | Voltage Supply | Blower Motor Speed |
---|---|---|
LO | Across all 3 blower motor resistors | Slowest speed |
MED1 | Across 2 of 3 blower motor resistors | Faster than when in the LO position |
MED2 | Across 1 of 3 blower motor resistors | Faster than when in the MED1 position |
HI | Directly to the blower motor | Fastest speed |
