Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 317089 Size: SH
  1. The AIR BAG warning lamp consists of a Light Emitting Diode (LED) that is not serviceable. The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) must be serviced as a complete unit.
  2. Turn OFF the ignition.
  3. Disable the SIR System. Refer to Disabling the SIR System .
  4. Remove the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Guages and Console.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Guages and Console.
  2. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System .
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. The AIR BAG warning lamp should flash seven times then turn OFF.
  4. If the AIR BAG warning lamp stays ON after flashing seven times, perform the Diagnostic System Check - SIR. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - SIR .
